Have you seen the ‘Watch My Story’ campaign that popped up on Monday in the media and social media? The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race has launched a new international crew recruitment drive. Whether you love Bavaria, Jeanneau, Leisure, Westerly, Southerly, Carter or Pegasus sail boats these short films will inspire you to get on the water.

They are encouraging anyone and everyone to try racing in challenging waters and ‘achieve something remarkable’. There is no sailing experience necessary, you simply have to be over 18 and go through three weeks of intensive training.

The online films show amateur crew from the last race telling their individual stories, explaining why they did it and what happened on their own adventures. Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, (first person to sail solo, non-stop, around the world) founded The Clipper Race 16 years ago and it is the world’s longest ocean race (40,000 miles).

Visit www.clipperroundtheworld.com to find out about featured crew members, watch sailing footage and register your interest. If you’d like to exchange your everyday life for an adventure at sea then the 2013-14 Clipper Race could be the opportunity you are looking for.
