Boatshed Newport was in the house for the final day of racing at the America's Cup World Series. It was yet again a fantastic day although the winds a bit calmer. The first race featured Oracle Teams USA Spithill and Coutts in a final heat with Coutts the triumphant winner. He claims the title for the most America's Cup victories.
Boatshed Newport was at the America’s Cup Village at Fort Adams today, which was swarming with people from around the world here to witness the spectacular race. Everywhere I walked I heard a foreign language spoken and it was a beautiful day.
Waterline Boats / Boatshed Seattle is again offering boats through Boatshed.com’s BoatBid online auction. This international auction is a proven process to market boats in a unique and effective way. This is NOT an eBay-style auction — these are boats after all, and any buyer will want to be cautious to ensure a survey, a demonstration and maybe other contingencies are factored into the purchase process. BoatBid respects that! We’re all about making buyers and sellers comfortable and confident throughout the transaction. BoatBid is a good way to connect potential buyers with sellers — and the boat of their dreams!
Judging by its millions of users and visitors worldwide, it’s clear that Boatshed.com is a popular website. But now it’s been proven as it has been listed in the top 40 per cent of the best million websites on the planet.
Boatshed’s clever use of technology and customer-focussed processes have been heralded as a shining example by the UK Government.
In a world filled with technical jargon, confusing offers and dogs winning TV talent shows it can sometimes be hard to see the wood from the trees.
Good old British weather they call it !

We’re all very excited about the PSP Southampton Boat Show and the Boatshed stand at the show.
Come and meet the Boatshed.com team at this years PSP Southampton boat show.
Perhaps it’s no great shock to hear that marine crime is on the increase, but particularly worrying is the shear scale of current thefts from boats in Devon and Cornwall. All too often boat crime is seen as ‘a minor inconvenience that the insurance will cover’ but its clear that what is going on in many cases is well organised, well thought out mass theft of outboards in particular. In some cases some yards have been targeted not once, but twice within a matter of weeks and its likely outboards were all but being stolen to order.
The legendary Fastnet Race starts on the 14th August 2011 in Cowes and finishes in Plymouth from the 16th onwards. The finishing fleet will be hosted at Sutton Harbour Marina which is where Stephen from BoatshedPlymouth keeps his own yacht. It will be an exciting time for all yachting enthusiasts and spectators as they watch the race fleet make their way across the finishing line at the Plymouth breakwater and then enter the Marina. Live music will be playing, the British Fireworks Championship will take place and all the usual Barbican hospitality will be available. BoatshedPlymouth looks forward to meeting the locals and visitors alike as they watch the events.
The guy's at Boatshed Hamble along with all the brokers at Boatshed cant resist anything to do with boats, and yesterday was a good example.
The Boatshed conference 2011 was a great success. Two days spent in and around Portsmouth Dockyard as well as Boatshed HQ in Gosport; with lots of lectures, group meetings and workshops. Approximately 30 Boatsheds came to the event, travelling from destinations across Europe and even as far as Phuket in the Far East.
